Festival 2024 Accessibility
This is an indoor event, all on flat surfaces with no stair access. The Sorenson Unity Center is wheelchair accessible. The performances will take place in the Black Box Theatre, and the art will be displayed in a hallway, and an atrium outside the Black Box Theatre.
Getting there:
-Bus lines 509, 513 & 9
-Free parking available on south side of building
-Bike racks available on south side of building
Queer Spectra will provide
ASL Interpretation for the keynote addresses, performances, and artist panels. All films will have subtitles
A quiet, sensory-friendly room for use at any time during the festival, supplied with fidget toys, fidget blankets, and soft lighting.
Four noise-reducing headphones for attendees to check out to use during the festival.
Two larger air purifiers & two smaller ones, spaced throughout the venue to minimize risk of Covid transmission
Free masks in a variety of sizes/types; rapid tests; and Covid info
In order to practice community safety we also have these requests of participants:
Please wear a mask to protect yourself and others regardless of if you have symptoms (we will provide masks, but please bring your own if you have it!)
Please do not come if you have Covid symptoms, have a close exposure, or test positive. If you are feeling sick, please take a test before the event (ideally two tests spaced 48 hours apart, if you can.) You can find FREE rapid tests from Salt Lake Harm Reduction Project (1400 S 1100 E) which also distributes them to the Sugar House Community Fridge (720 E Loveland). We will have free tests at the event.
Please respect everyone's personal space and practice asking for consent!
